What's a library card good for?

Membership in the library confers certain privileges that go beyond the immediatly obvious ones of being able to borrow library materials and request books and other materials from other libraries by way of Interlibrary Loan.

With your library card in hand you may also log on -- from home, or wherever you are-- to the online databases available through JerseyClicks, the New Jersey State portal for online searching.

What you will need is your personal Patron Barcode number -- the 13-digit number below the barcode on your library card. When you log on to JerseyClicks, and type in a search request, the system will ask for this number before proceeding. Enter it, and the database will be opened to you.

As we are able to add more resources of this sort in the future, home access will be by this same method, so if you don't have a card yet, call the library at (609) 397-0275 and ask that one be sent to you.
