Ultimate Wellness Workshop Series

HARAtherapeutics is offering a series of bi-weekly workshops that cover the relationship of food to weight, health and well-being. The intention of these workshops is to comprehensively educate each participant in the benefits of whole foods nutrition, to debunk diet myths and to pave a new and sustainable road for self-nourishment.

June 23:

Get the G.L.O.W. --Nutrition Basics for Optimal Health
What are the essentials for optimum nutrition? You'd be surprised to find out that it does not involve counting calories or knowing nutrient content. This workshop will clarify how to get down to basics when it comes to eating right for your body, for your mood and for the planet.

July 7:

The Skinny on Fats
Knowing what dietary fats to eat is vital to our health. This workshop will help you distinguish between fats that harm and fats that heal and will answer the question: do fats make us fat?

July 21:

Sugar Blues
Are you suffering from the sugar blues? This workshop will help you understand why you crave sweets, how sugar affects your health and mood, and how to satisfy your sweet tooth naturally.

August 4:

Deconstructing Cravings
We all crave different kinds of food, at different times and for different reasons. In this workshop, find out how to decode your own cravings so that you can fulfill them in ways that are healthy and satisfying.

August 18:

The Food/Mood Connection--The Heart of Emotional Eating
Almost everyone, at one time or another, chooses food as an emotional balm--to dampen anxiety, to ease a sadness, to stuff anger. Find out more about your patterns of emotional eating and how to make a positive shift in your food/mood connection.

Taught by Certified Holistic Health Counselor, Kirstin Hara, co-founder of HARAtherapeutics in Lambertville, NJ. Ms. Hara has a masters degree in spiritual psychology from the University of Santa Monica. She is a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and has been in the holistic health field for over 15 years.
